Privacy Policy — Shadow Depths

Shadow Depths is an offline-first, turn-based roguelike published by the developer named in the contact section below. You do not need an account, name, email address, or phone number to play. Local progress and settings are stored on your device.

Advertising and consent

The Android app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) for banner, interstitial, and optional rewarded ads. Google and its advertising partners may process information such as an IP address (which may be used to estimate general location), app and ad interactions, diagnostics, and device or account identifiers for advertising, measurement, security, and fraud prevention. Google states that this SDK data is encrypted in transit. The exact processing and whether an ad is personalised depend on your region and consent choices.

The User Messaging Platform (UMP) requests consent information at app launch and may show a consent or privacy-options form where required. You can choose personalised or non-personalised ads when those choices are offered. If consent is unavailable, ads are not requested and the game remains playable.

Purchases

The game is free to play across all 100 floors. New players may buy the optional, one-time Remove Ads product (base price US$4.99; the Play Store shows the localised price). A purchase permanently disables every ad on that account/device. Players who previously bought the retired full_descent_unlock product keep the same permanent ad-free entitlement. Google Play Billing processes the transaction; we do not receive or store your payment-card details. Entitlements can be restored via Google Play after reinstall.

Local saves and optional analytics

• Local storage: save games, settings, and meta-progress stay in your browser or app storage unless you clear them.
• Optional analytics: if you opt in inside Settings and an analytics endpoint is configured, the app may send anonymous gameplay events such as floor reached, run ended, or a purchase screen shown. This feature is off by default and can be disabled in Settings.

Analytics opt-in does not control Google Mobile Ads processing; advertising consent is handled separately by UMP and the choices shown by Google.

Network use and retention

Bundled game content does not require an internet connection. Network access is used to load ads, request consent, purchase or restore products through Google Play, visit this policy, and send optional analytics when enabled. Google and its partners retain data according to their own policies; local saves remain until you delete app data or uninstall the app. Standard connection logs may be collected by the hosting provider, CDN, or Google Play.

Children

Shadow Depths is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect account information from children.
